I am very wary of blogging. I refused to keep one last time I studied abroad (Berlin, Spring-Summer 2006), thinking I would write mass emails to a targeted audience instead. Not the case. This is an effort to keep those who care up-to-date on my travels, studies, and random thoughts. This will be no diary. I envision more pictures than words. That said, because most people reading this blog have not been to Damascus, I figure this is a good opportunity for them to learn about the city and its people along with me. So expect random facts. Example : Damascus is said to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. Maybe I'll even debunk some misconceptions about the Arab world in the process. Who knows.
